Jenny Halpern Prince MBE
CHAIR OF TRUSTEES
In 2014, Jenny co-founded The Lady Garden Foundation and became Chairwoman and a Trustee in 2018. She is founder and CEO of Consumer PR & Brand Consultancy agency, Halpern. Halpern is now part of The&Partnership, and therefore WPP. Halpern has created hugely successful campaigns for world class brands in the agency's 25 year history.
Jenny was deeply involved with the 'Britain Stronger in Europe' Campaign, sitting on the board and being the founder and creator of the network Women IN to ensure women's voices are heard and at the centre of the debate that will shape the future of our country.
In 2012, Jenny founded the youth charity Access Aspiration and in 2023 she was recognised in the King’s honours list and awarded an MBE for her services to young people. Access Aspiration was created to improve social mobility in areas of high deprivation by providing aspirational work experience placements in over 200 of London's leading businesses. To date, it has supported over 15,000 students across London. In recognition of its success and having created a tangible, positive difference for the students, Jenny also received a Point of Light Award from No10 & Prime Minister David Cameron. Access Aspiration is now a flagship programme of the Mayor’s Fund for London, and Jenny is a trustee of the Fund.
She was on the board of Great Ormond Street Hospital for seven years, and created Save the Day, an arm of GOSH's Charity, which raised over £1.5 million and allowed Great Ormond Street to purchase much needed equipment for the hospital.
She was on the board of Women's Aid for six years and created the concept of the Avon Empowering Women Awards.
Dame Helena Morrissey
Financier, Author and Founder, 30% Club.
Helena’s influence has spread beyond finance. CEO of Newton Investment Management for fifteen years and former Chair of the UK’s Investment Association, she founded the 30% Club in 2010. The 30% Club is a cross-industry campaign for gender-balanced boards. Since then, the representation of women on FTSE350 boards has risen from less than 10% to over 30% and there are now fourteen 30% Clubs throughout the world. Helena is Chair of the Diversity Project which aims to improve diversity across all dimensions in the investment and savings industry. She has recently joined the board of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, a FTSE100 company.
Helena has been named one of Fortune magazine’s World’s 50 Greatest Leaders and was the Financial Times’ 2017 ‘Person of the Year’ at its Boldness in Business awards. She is a Philosophy graduate. Her husband Richard is a stay-at-home father and they have nine children aged from 11 to 28 and two grandchildren. Her first book ‘A Good Time to be a Girl’ was named one of Forbes’ five most empowering books for women in 2018. She has recently started an Instagram account to share daily tips on career dressing.
Dr Annalisa Jenkins
Annalisa Jenkins, M.B.B.S., F.R.C.P. is a biopharma thought leader with over 25 years of industry experience. Dr. Jenkins has extensive recent experience in building and financing biotech companies pursuing cures for the most challenging rare diseases to address important medical issues globally. She has consistently built and led teams advancing programs from scientific research through clinical development, regulatory approval, and into healthcare systems globally. In addition, she is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, particularly for women in science. Dr. Jenkins served as president and CEO of Dimension Therapeutics a leading gene therapy company that she took public on the NASDAQ and subsequently sold to Ultragenyx. Prior leadership roles have included the head of global research and development and executive vice president global development and medical at Merck Serono, and several senior positions at Bristol Myers-Squibb over 15 years - including serving as senior vice president and head of global medical affairs. Earlier in her career, Dr. Jenkins was a medical officer in the British Royal Navy during the Gulf Conflict, achieving the rank of surgeon lieutenant commander. Dr. Jenkins is a board member of several growing companies, including iOX Therapeutics Limited, Oncimmune, AVROBIO, COMPASS Pathways, AOBiome, AgeX, PlaqueTec, ADOR Diagnostics, MedCity, DMNoMore, Conduit Connect, NoxSudor, Secret Saviours, Cocoon Biotech Inc. (Non-Executive Chair), Cellmedica (Non-Executive Chair), and Vium, Inc. (Executive Chair). She also is a committee member of the Science Board to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, which advises FDA leadership on complex scientific and technical issues, board member at Faster Cures a center of The Milken Institute and Chair of The Court The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Jenniffer Emanuel
Jenniffer is the Chief Operating Officer at Capula Investment Management.
Prior to joining Capula, she spent over 14 years at Goldman Sachs and was most recently a Managing Director and Global Head of Client Experience for the Global Markets Division. During her tenure at Goldman Sachs, Jenniffer also held the role of Co-Chief Operating Officer for the Global Markets Division in Asia Pacific. For the five years prior, Jenniffer was responsible for global counterparty risk and joined the bank in 2007 as a European Credit Structurer.
Earlier, Jenniffer was at Citi from 2004 to 2007 with a focus on structured credit and began her career at Linklaters where she spent four years focused on derivatives and structured products.
Jenniffer earned a BSc in Chemistry from Bristol University in 1998. She attended the College of Law in London and qualified as a lawyer in 2002.
Victoria Hornby OBE
Victoria is CEO of Mental Health Innovations. From 2011 to 2017, she was Director of Programmes at The Royal Foundation, building a portfolio of projects including the Invictus Games, Coach Core, United for Wildlife and Heads Together.
Victoria has been recognised with an OBE for her Services to the Charitable Sector during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List 2022.
Before joining the Foundation, Victoria was a Senior Executive at the Sainsbury Family Trusts and CEO of an international development charity. She began her career as Field Director of an aid agency, living and working in Eastern Europe for four years.
Alongside her day job, Victoria is a Director of Social Finance, adviser to the Charles Dunstone Charitable Trust, and a trustee of the Westminster Foundation and the Bridges Impact Foundation.
Dr Tara Swart
Neuroscientist, medical doctor, and best selling author.
Tara has a medical degree from Oxford University and specialised as a psychiatrist for 7 years. She also has a PhD in neuroscience from King’s College, London, and has written three books, with her latest ‘The Source’ being a best seller with 36 global translations. She has been running her neuroscience based leadership development consultancy since 2008.
Tara is also Faculty at MIT Sloan, executive advisor to select hedge funds, and brand ambassador in health, well-being, beauty, and spirituality. She was the worlds first ‘Neuroscientist in Residence’ at a five star hotel (Corinthia hotel, London), was in residence at Annabel’s private members club, and at Browns fashion.
Tara is a passionate advocate of supporting education in STEM subjects, diversity in the workplace, and access to good health services for all people, with particular emphasis on improving this for vulnerable groups.
Medical Director: Dr John Butler
Dr John Butler is a gynaecological surgeon. He is certified as both a specialist gynaecologist and sub-specialist gynaecological oncology by the RCOG. He qualified in medicine from St Mary’s Hospital in 2000 and continued his postgraduate training in London, including his oncology training at The Royal Marsden and St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
He has an active research portfolio and has published extensively on gynaecological cancer, international cancer survival, and cancer policy.
He is the lead clinician to the International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership, a member of the Cancer Research UK early diagnosis committee, and a member of the Cancer Research UK clinical advisory committee. He is also a trustee of the Lady Garden Foundation.
His main interests include ultra-radical gynaecological cancer surgery, fertility-preserving surgery for cervical cancer, minimal access surgery, risk-reducing surgery for BRCA, and vulval cancer.
