Our 2024 plans…

In September 2024, we are taking our Life Cycle Learning campaign to 20 universities! We will continue to spark valuable conversations to educate students about the signs and symptoms of gynaecological cancer.

Our growing body of student ambassadors will represent the ‘Give Your Fanny Five’ campaign at their university, raising awareness and breaking taboos among their fellow students.

Our 2023 Education Campaign

During the autumn of 2023, we extended our Life Cycle Learning campaign to 14 universities' freshers fairs, promoting education and awareness of gynaecological health to thousands of students across the country. Our promotional stands and friendly staff helped increase students’ understanding of the importance of regular gynaecological checkups and advice on how to recognise the signs of infection or cancer. Through our interactive stall and handy guide, "The Vagina Dialogues," we were able to create a safe and inclusive environment for students to discuss what has previously been seen as taboo topics.

Our "Give your Fanny Five" campaign successfully reached a diverse audience of over 77,000 students, empowering them to prioritise their well-being. Our Vagina Dialogues guide covered a wide range of topics and provided accurate information for informed decision-making and was downloaded thousands of times throughout the campaign.  We hope that the impact of our student campaign will continue to positively influence students throughout their lives and that the resources we provide will prove instrumental in educating and empowering students to take ownership of their gynaecological health.

Our 2022 Education Programme Pilot

To road test a national student campaign, in 2022, we attended the Manchester University freshers fair, one of the largest university cities in Europe. We chose Manchester since gynaecological cancer deaths in the city are higher compared to other student cities, due in part to under-resourced healthcare and accessibility to services.

The Vagina Dialogues

The 'Vagina Dialogues' is a comprehensive guide that covers a wide range of gynaecological health topics. It provides all different types of information from the signs and symptoms of the five gynaecological cancers to the explanations of different colours of discharge and their meanings. This guide is specifically designed for students, helping them understand what is normal for their bodies. In addition to its content, The Vagina Dialogues also includes references to other helpful links and websites where users can find updated information.
