Kate Percival
Kate has extensive board level experience in the communications industry with direct line responsibility for marketing, advertising, public relations, branding and design and over the last 25 years has become a specialist in luxury brands and services, with a Master’s Degree in the subject and a prize-winning thesis on Preventative Medicine and the Global Spa Industry.
In 1994 Kate founded her first company, AMD, which in three years grew to become the UK’s leading property marketing company. The company was sold to Chime Communications plc in 1997, a listed diversified communications group headed by Lord Bell. For four years Kate was Chairman of Creative and Marketing Services for Chime.
In 2003, after a sabbatical spent travelling and as an advisor to two charities – the Prison Reform Trust and Well Child - she then established Gritti Partnership, a branding and marketing consultancy, which in turn was reversed into Four Communications Group plc. In 2007 Kate resigned her directorship to study for a Master’s Degree in Luxury Brands and Services which in turn lead to detailed research and a thesis on the Global Spa industry and a change of career.
In 2012 Kate co-founded Grace Belgravia, London’s first female only health, wellbeing and lifestyle club, offering a wide range of wellbeing services under one roof. The Club was based in a Grade II listed building in West Halkin Street, Belgravia extending over 11,500 sq ft and included a spa, gym, medical clinic, restaurant & bar and was the realisation of the model she developed in her Master’s thesis on Preventative Medicine.
2014 – Present. Founding Trustee and committee member of The Lady Garden Foundation. A charity in partnership with The Royal Marsden Hospital, dedicated to genetic research and education on the causes and treatment of Gynaecological Cancers.
2018 – Present. Founding Committee Member of Women Supporting Women at The Prince’s Trust, established by Chrissie Rucker, owner of The White Company. WSW was founded by a group of leading women in business and philanthropy, working within The Prince’s Trust to help change the lives of some of our most disadvantaged young women in the UK.
In Summer 2019 Kate established a consultancy advising businesses in the luxury sector with special focus on hospitality, health, wellbeing and property.
